BrakeAce brake sensors fit most modern mountain bikes with standard post-mount and flat-mount brake calipers. If you are unsure about your setup, get in touch and we will help you check.
No permanent changes. The sensors mount to your existing brakes — no re-plumbing or new hardware required beyond the mounting bolts.
The front and rear sensors are sized to suit their positions on the bike for the best fit and clearance. The app knows which is which automatically.
The sensors bolt onto your calipers using the included hardware. It takes a few minutes per wheel — full step-by-step instructions are in the app and user manual.
Getting started
Braking is the most effective — and most overlooked — way to ride faster. BrakeAce measures every brake and shows you exactly where and how you scrub speed, then hands you your 3 Key Opportunities to improve on each ride.
Fit the front and rear sensors, download the free BrakeAce app, connect the sensors, and hit Start at the top of your trail. Your ride is analysed for you the moment you finish.
The app pairs with both sensors wirelessly in a few taps. Once paired, they reconnect automatically each time you ride.
The BrakeAce algorithms do the analysis for you. In the app you get your FlowScore, your braking mapped to the trail, and your Key Opportunities. For deeper analysis, open the web dashboard to compare runs and dig into every metric.
Yes. The BrakeAce app is free to download and use on iOS and Android — you only pay for the sensors.

Hardware & charging
Yes. Charge the sensors over USB between ride days. The LED shows charging status.
Each sensor has a charging port under its cover. Use a standard USB charger — the LED indicates charging status and when the sensor is full.
The status LED tells you when the sensor is on, connected, recording, charging or fully charged. A full reference is in the user manual.
BrakeAce sensors have a travel mode that disables wireless transmission for flying and shipping. You can toggle it from the app or with the sensor button — see the manual for the exact steps.
Yes — a full sensor user manual is available covering installation, charging, pairing, travel mode and troubleshooting.
Data & video
Yes — the app on your phone records the ride and GPS. Just start the ride and stow your phone; no separate head unit is needed.
Once uploaded, your rides sync to your own private account in the cloud, so they are safe and available on both the app and the web dashboard.
Yes. You can export your runs from the web dashboard as CSV, GPX or FIT files for your own analysis.
Yes. Export your data and sync it with your POV footage using a third-party tool like RaceRender or Victorise to overlay your braking on your ride video.
